RDM and DMX Distribution

D-SPLIT is an optical isolator/splitter for DMX512. Its purpose is to allow the user more flexibility in connecting their DMX controlled devices. Instead of having to make them all fit within a single daisy chain, each of the four outputs from the D-SPLIT can be the start of its own chain, and multiple D-SPLITs can be linked together if needed. The D-SPLIT isolates the DMX controller from the fixtures, protecting it against power spikes, also allows more than 32 DMX devices to be connected to a single controller (each output can be connected to up to 32 fixtures in a daisy chain fashion).

![]() A Rackmount DMX & RDM Splitter |
|
The RDS8 is a DMX/RDM compatible 8-port fully isolated splitter designed for rack mounting. It allows users to build an RDM (E1.20-2006) compliant DMX network, while maintaining full compatibility with older DMX equipment. Standard DMX splitters do not allow RDM enabled devices to function correctly, as they block messages getting back from devices to controllers. The RDS solves this problem while still offering the usual DMX splitter features such as full isolation between ports. The RDS range also includes some handy features that will make integrating new RDM-enabled equipment into your existing lighting stock much smoother and simpler. Some older DMX equipment does not respond well to RDM messages, causing flickering and other unwanted issues. The RDS offers an RDM Filter option to remove all RDM packets, allowing older DMX equipment to function correctly on the same networks as an RDM-enabled controller. A Bypass option is also available, bypassing all processing, allowing the RDS to operate as a simple DMX splitter. |

The RDS4 is a DMX/RDM compatible 4-port fully isolated splitter designed for portable and truss mounting applications. It allows users to build an RDM (E1.20-2006) compliant DMX network, while maintaining full compatibility with older DMX equipment.
