D-Split
D-Split 2 x 3 pin and 2 x 5pin DMX512D-Split 4 x 5pin DMX512
A simple low-cost, lightweight portable DMX Splitter

D-SPLIT is an optical isolator/splitter for DMX512. Its purpose is to allow the user more flexibility in connecting their DMX controlled devices. Instead of having to make them all fit within a single daisy chain, each of the four outputs from the D-SPLIT can be the start of its own chain, and multiple D-SPLITs can be linked together if needed.

The D-SPLIT isolates the DMX controller from the fixtures, protecting it against power spikes, also allows more than 32 DMX devices to be connected to a single controller (each output can be connected to up to 32 fixtures in a daisy chain fashion).

Features:
  • Lightweight and portable
  • 1 input, 4 outputs, all optically isolated (protects against up to 1000V of stray voltage)
  • DMX512-1990 compatible (RDM not supported)
  • Supports up to a full DMX Universe (512 channels)
  • LED indicators show Power and DMX output
  • External 7V Power Supply
  • Available with 2 x5 pin and 2 x 3 pin outputs for greater flexibility, or 4 x 5-pin outputs
Technical Specifications:
  • DMX Input – 5 Pin XLR Male
  • DMX Output - 5 Pin XLR Female and 3 Pin XLR Female. All four may be used simultaneously, or any combination.  4 x 5 Pin XLR Female version also available.
  • 1000V isolation between Input and Output, and between Output ports. This is to protect your console from surges on the DMX line, and also keep any stray voltage from crossing to other output ports.
  • Weight: 0.3kg
  • Dimensions: 114mm x 52mm x 89mm

RDS8
RDS 8
A Rackmount DMX & RDM Splitter

The RDS8 is a DMX/RDM compatible 8-port fully isolated splitter designed for rack mounting. It allows users to build an RDM (E1.20-2006) compliant DMX network, while maintaining full compatibility with older DMX equipment.

Standard DMX splitters do not allow RDM enabled devices to function correctly, as they block messages getting back from devices to controllers.  The RDS solves this problem while still offering the usual DMX splitter features such as full isolation between ports.

The RDS range also includes some handy features that will make integrating new RDM-enabled  equipment into your existing lighting stock much smoother and simpler.  Some older DMX equipment does not respond well to RDM messages, causing flickering and other unwanted issues.  The RDS offers an RDM Filter option to remove all RDM packets, allowing older DMX equipment to function correctly on the same networks as an RDM-enabled controller.  A Bypass option is also available, bypassing all processing, allowing the RDS to operate as a simple DMX splitter.

Features:
  • 1 DMX input and 8 DMX outputs, all isolated up to 1500 Volts
  • Normal mode: splitter actively repeats bidirectional RDM traffic while level information goes from controller to DMX devices as usual
  • Filter Mode: Single button-press allows all RDM traffic to be filtered out. Helps prevent unwanted flickering in older devices that can’t process RDM information
  • Backup Mode: Another button bypasses intelligent RDM functionality completely, to work as a traditional DMX splitter
  • Fully compliant with ESTA and USITT standards for DMX512A with RDM and RDM Standard ANSI E1.20 - 2006
  • Internal auto-ranging power supply
Technical Specifications:
  • RDS8 supports a full DMX Universe (512 channels)
  • All ports are isolated up to 1500V
  • Input Port is 5 pin XLR Male
  • Output Ports are 5 pin XLR Female
  • Break Length Time:  Replicates input signal to within 50ms
  • Refresh Cycle: Replicates input signal
  • CE, FCC certified

Size:
The RDS8 is a standard 1 rack unit 19" rack size.
