The MiniDMXter4 puts power in the palm of your hand. Now with DMX capabilities similar to the old Lil'DMXter, the MiniDMXter4 adds RDM management functions.
Imagine everything you’ve always liked about the MiniDMXter with some of your favorite Lil’DMXter features mixed in - that’s what you’ll find in the MiniDMXter4. A 2 line by 20 character display, now backlit. Two additional buttons give you access to a range of powerful features never offered in a Mini before - like Flicker Finder and ShowSaver. Software updates are easy, using a USB port. The MiniDMXter4 is small – 98mm x 152mm x 44mm. It’s powered by 2 AA batteries (battery eliminator available). It’s very easy to use. The 7 button interface provides improved menu navigation and the 40 character backlit display provides clear, plain language prompts. The MiniDMXter4's receive input is properly terminated at all times. The user may turn on the transmitter during reception to allow for loop thru mode (excluding pins 4 and 5). Both input and output support DMX512-A and RDM topologies. The MiniDMXter4 provides 5 transmit modes - ADJUST ONE SLOT, ADJUST ALL SLOTS, AUTOFADE, SEND/EDIT SNAPSHOT, and SEND TEXT. The unit supports 7 transmit flavors, including Colortran. The MiniDMXter4 displays received levels in numeric or graphic format. The new, larger display allows for 4 slot levels to be shown numerically, or 32 slot levels to be shown graphically. DMX512 text reception is also supported. RDM Functionality: Recognizing the need for a handheld tester that handles basic RDM, we’ve included RDM responder address settings and basic configuration routines in the MiniDMXter4.

Serious about lighting? So are we. That's why we use and recommend the Lil'DMXter 2. The Lil'DMXter 2 from Goddard Design is not just another DMX tester. It's the most comprehensive DMX troubleshooting tool available today, with functions the others can only dream of. When the proverbial is really hitting the fan, you need the Lil'DMXter 2. So, what is it? For over 10 years now, the Lil'DMXter has been the industry standard DMX512 testing device. It's a DMX transmitter & receiver; a DMX analyzer & generator; a true DMX cable tester; a moving-light tester; a "flicker finder"; a basic control system, a rigger's remote and a back-up for your lighting console. It allows you to vary almost every parameter of your DMX and regenerate the signal, often fixing compatibility problems. You can snapshot scenes from your console and use them to find faults, test cables even when the other end isn't available, or simply flash through your rig one channel at a time. The Lil'DMXter also provides a signal to trigger your oscilloscope, for finding those really tricky faults. In short, if it can't be fixed with the help of a Lil'DMXter, it probably can't be fixed. Despite having all these features, the Lil'DMXter is remarkably simple to operate, with plain English menus on a 40-character backlit display. The rugged, water-resistant case that the Lil'DMXter comes in also makes it one of the most reliable fault-finding tools you'll ever come across. |

The Lil'DMXter has become the industry-standard test instrument for DMX-512. But after numerous requests for a smaller, less expensive tester that can send and receive DMX-512, Goddard Design developed the miniDMXter. More than a simple rigger's remote, the miniDMXter allows you to raise up to 64 dimmers at a time to any level, or bump through a system one dimmer at a time. It can receive DMX from a console's output, displaying three dimmers at a time, checking the signal's integrity. It can also check DMX-512 cables, checking for continuity and with actual data. |
