i-Pix Digital Lighting are an emerging LED fixture manufacturer based in the UK, formed in 2006 by the core development team behind the 'Pixel' brand of LED luminaires.
i-Pix describe themselves as "a forward thinking solid state lighting manufacturer, with a design emphasis on good quality, durable products, delivered simply". Their focus is on building high quality, high output LED fixtures that are designed to withstand the rigours of the road, while reducing overall power consumption.
Their first fixture, the Satellite, has made an immediate impact, with the first units going straight out on the road with Radiohead in the UK, amongst others. In Australia, they've featured on Channel Nine's The Singing Bee and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, as well as making an appearance on Rove with Sneaky Sound System.
The BB4 Washlight was the second fixture off the production line and went straight out to the London Live Earth concert, where they were used in place of traditional 8-light crowd blinders on the front truss. In Australia, the BB4’s were seen lighting The Prodigy on the 2009 Big Day Out, as well as Good Vibrations and Coldplay’s 2009 tour.
